Workshop Description
Delivered by Sue Gaudion. Sue Gaudion currently serves as the General Manager and Performance Pathway Coach at West Coast Fever. With an extensive coaching career, Sue has previously been the Assistant Coach of the Australia Under-21 team and served as the Head Coach of Singapore at the 1999 Netball World Cup. Her expertise in developing elite athletes and her strategic insights into team performance make her a standout in the world of netball coaching. 10 - 11.30am (UK Time) Session Focus: This session will highlight the crucial role of players in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 Centre Pass Defence, demonstrating what works and what doesn’t in real-time. We’ll dive into the three most commonly used defensive structures, exploring the key factors that lead to successful outcomes. Special attention will be given to Phase 2 Defence, examining the responsibilities of the defensive unit, as well as the vital contributions of the GA and WA in intensifying pressure on the opposition. Using game day footage, we’ll analyse these defensive structures in action, breaking down both individual and team roles within Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Centre Pass Defence. Places are first come, first served. Attendees are expected to have their camera on for the duration of the session. There will be no refunds available once the course has been booked.
