Workshop Description
Delivered by Jill McIntosh Jill McIntosh is a former Australia netball international athlete and national team head coach. Jill coached Australia at 2 World Netball Championships (1995 & 1999) and 2 Commonwealth Games (1998 & 2002) , guiding the team to four gold medals. Jill has subsequently worked as a coach with the International Netball Federation, Central Pulse and with the national teams of Singapore, Northern Ireland and Jamaica. 7pm - 8.30pm (UK Time) Session Focus: • The role and the worth of a good Wing Defender cannot be underestimated • In order to produce a 'winning' defensive combination the WD is an integral part of the unit along with the GK, GD & the Centre • Words like Dogged, Fearless, Never Say Die come to mind when we talk about Wing Defenders • The role of the WD has changed over the years to incorporate more on the attacking side • Wing Defenders must be prepared to chase all day. To stick to the wing attack and force them into error by continued pressure Places are first come, first served. Attendees are expected to have their camera on for the duration of the session. There will be no refunds available once the course has been booked.
