Level 1 (Assistant Coach)
This award is designed to support a coach starting their coach delivery. The target audience for would be those who are involved or thinking they wish to be involved supporting an experienced lead coach. Upon completion of this award a Coach will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and personal attributes relative to supporting a coaching session alongside a Lead Coach.
Award Pre-requisites

Be 16 years of age.

Be able to utilise technology and have access to a reliable computer and internet access.

Working alongside an experienced Lead Coach in Netball or another sport.

Complete an application and submit by the required deadline to the Europe Netball Project Lead for Coaching.

Applicants must be a member of a National Governing Body who is affiliated to Europe Netball.
Programme Outcomes
A Coach successfully completing the Europe Netball Level One Coaching Award (Level 1) will be able to:

Understand behaviours and strategies to complement and support a player-centred, holistic, and inclusive coaching culture and environment whilst supporting a Lead Coach.

Understand the basic skills and tactic / strategies / principles for developing game play.

Understand how to plan and deliver a session.

Identify suitable activities to engage in continuous professional development.​
